Michael J. Steinberg PharmD, is currently the Vaccines Field Medical Director for Pfizer in the Mid-Atlantic Region, where he provides education on Pfizer’s vaccines to insurance companies, health systems, providers, and state and local departments of health.
Since joining Pfizer back in 2002, Michael has had a variety of positions in Pfizer Research and Medical Affairs. He has supported over 20 Pfizer medicines and vaccines for primary care and specialty care.
Michael received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy and completed a 2-year Residency/Fellowship in Drug Information/Competitive Technical Intelligence from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy.
Michael is active in state and national pharmacy associations and has presented at national and international conferences.
Michael is an adjunct faculty with the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy where he has precepted students and provides guest lectures. His academic involvement has also included time on the admissions committee and the executive board of the Alumni Association at the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy.
Ellen Shannon PhD, RN is a Field Medical Director for Pfizer in the Antiviral Divison
Ellen provides medical education within the Mid-Atlantic Region to Health Care Providers in a wide variety of specialty areas. She has a wide-ranging therapeutic background spanning 20+ years within industry enabling her insider viewpoint.
Ellen has served in multiple capacities within her clinical and industry career including: Head of Medical Affairs, Regional Director, Medical Science Liaison, North American Coordinator of Quality Assurance, Nurse Clinician, Advisory Board Director, State Immunization Advisory Board member, and Assistant Professor. Ellen is a member of multiple medical and nursing societies.
She has concurrently maintained ongoing frontline nursing practice both prior to and throughout the pandemic to further demonstrate her commitment and expertise in advancing patient care. Her primary specialty areas include: infectious disease, vaccines, cardiology, and nephrology.
Ellen is married with two daughters and two dogs. She lives in Maryland.
