The Director

The Director: Journal of the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care is the official, peer-reviewed nursing journal of the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care (NADONA/LTC). This journal is dedicated to empowering nursing leaders and advancing excellence in post-acute and long-term care.

This quarterly journal, indexed by the United States Library of Congress, offers valuable insights, the latest research, evidence-based practices, regulatory updates and leadership strategies tailored to the unique challenges of post-acute care clinical leaders.

Article Submission Guidelines

The Director: Journal of the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long-Term Care invites the submission of original scholarly articles focused on clinical practice, education, and research related to the role of nursing leaders and professionals. Submissions must be unpublished and not under consideration by other journals at the time of submission.

As a multidisciplinary and international journal, The Director welcomes contributions from authors across relevant disciplines and healthcare settings. Authors are invited to submit their articles for consideration by the Journal Editorial Review Board. This journal is indexed by the United States Library of Congress and is peer-reviewed. All submissions are subjected to a rigorous, double-blind, peer-review process. Issues are published quarterly. 

Topics of current interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Evidence-based practice

  • Innovative initiatives

  • Outcomes research

  • Nursing engagement

  • Infection prevention and control

  • Regulatory issues impacting nursing leaders in post-acute care
