Please complete the course prior to this date to receive your certificate.

The Staff Development Coordinator course provides a DON or a delegated nurse in LTC, the information needed to fulfill the role of a Staff Development Coordinator (SDC). It provides a framework to develop a program which includes meeting the requirements of Appendix PP (SNF regulations)

This course consists of the following topics:

  • Introduction to Staff Development  

  • Communication & Conflict 

  • Imparting a Culture of Learning   

  • Teaching Methods 

  • Training and Topics 

  • Competencies

  • Day in the Life of a Staff Development Director

Requirements:

  • Participants must view all twelve webinars.

  • Participants must pass all 12 post-tests with 80% or better and complete/submit an overall evaluation.

  • The participants of the enduring program must submit all assignments and they must be accepted. Enduring program must be completed prior to July 21, 2027.

  • No one with the ability to control content of this activity has a relevant financial relationship with an ineligible company with the exception of Cindy Fronning which has been mitigated.

Upon completion a certificate of QA&A / Quality Assurance and Process Improvement (QAPI) Certificate of Mastery Course will be awarded with 18 contact hours. Participants may then take the certification exam.
