The Impact and Management of Tardive Dyskinesia: A Long-Term Care Resident Case Study

This webinar will provide an overview of tardive dyskinesia (TD), including its causes, symptoms, and risk factors. It will explore the physical, social, and emotional impacts of TD on individuals and care partners, aiming to enhance understanding and management of the condition in long-term care settings. The session will also review assessment tools such as the AIMS and IMPACT-TD scales, and discuss treatment guidelines and consensus recommendations for managing TD symptoms, with a focus on LTC settings.

  2. Review assessment tools used to evaluate TD severity and impact, and examine the burden of the disease on quality of life
