This program is intended for Directors of Nursing (DONs) at LTC Facilities.  This is not a promotional program.

Objectives

  • Describe dopamine dysfunction in schizophrenia and treatment of schizophrenia with antipsychotics

  • Characterize the clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria, and timing of onset of common tardive and acute drug-induced movement disorders

  • Present videos of patients to visualize different severities of TD and AIMS scores in different parts of the body affected by TD

  • Review the epidemiology and pathophysiology of drug-induced movement disorders
