Denise Vance

Denise Vance, RN DON

 

Denise has an Associate Degree in Nursing and has been a Registered Nurse for 25+ years. She has spentDVance.jpg the last 20 years serving in Long Term Care.  Denise has been a member of NCDONA for 15+ years. As a NCDONA member, the organization has provided numerous opportunities. Membership has allowed for excellent opportunities to network and obtain support from other DONs as well as, providing numerous education opportunities. Through her NCDONA membership, Denise has obtained her CDONA-Certified Director of Nursing Administration and CDP-Certified Dementia Practitioner.  Denise has served NCDONA in many capacities including Conference Planning Committee, NCDONA District III Director, and now NCDONA Corresponding Secretary.

 Denise has been Director of Nursing at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, a 96 bed skilled facility in Asheboro NC for the past 9 years. Prior to this, she served as the facilities Assistant Director for 9 years. Denise is a member of the Advisory Committee for Randolph Community College’s Associate Degree Nursing program as well as, their Nursing Assistant I program.  She has worked with defense attorneys in reviewing and defending cases for Nursing Homes in has 2 children and 1 granddaughter. In her spare time, Denise enjoys traveling with her husband on their motorcycle.
