Maine Chapter of NADONA Nurse Leader Certification Review & Training

NADONA’S MAINE CHAPTER MEETING:  NURSE LEADER CERTIFICATION REVIEW AND TRAININGTrainer:  Cindy Fronning, RN-BC, RAC-CT, CDONA, FACDONA, Master Trainer and Director of Education at NADONA

This program will cover the relationship the Nurse Leader has with the Administrator and how to communicate within the partnership. It also explores the new culture change needed within LTC. A review of the regulatory changes in ’17 and ’19 will be held. Nursing department budgets will be discussed and hands on practice of developing a staffing model used in budgeting. This program, will also cover how the facility is reimbursed and the role of the Nurse Leader in QAPI and survey. It outlines the responsibilities of the DON role. Participants will be eligible for 16 Contact hours upon completion of the course. This course will prepare the Nurse Leader to take the CDONA board certification exam.
