  • The learner will work through a problem using real life situations to determine root cause for the problem and identifying problem solving skills to address concerns.

Sylvia has an extensive healthcare background with more than 30 years of experience. In Sylvia’s career she has held positions as a staff nurse, infection control nurse, case manager, Director of Nursing, nurse consultant and even served as Healthcare surveyor with Michigan Depart of Health. With certifications as a Director of Nursing Administration in Long-term care, Master Trainer (NADONA), Dementia Practitioner, Dementia and Alzheimer trainer, as well as a fellow in Academy of Certified Directors of Nursing Administration and a Board Certified Infection Preventionist. In addition to her impressive professional background, she is a published author with articles featured in Mobility Now and Long Term Living. Sylvia was also the recipient of the Spirit Award from the National Association of  Directors of Nursing in 2013.
